Jerome Bell is Technology Lead at Hament Group, architecting the firm’s cloud-native trading and client-portal platform. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town and an MSc in Financial Technology from Imperial College London. Jerome spent six years in Saxo Bank’s Trading Technology division, designing low-latency order-routing APIs, before serving as Head of Engineering at FinSwitch Africa, where he migrated a multi-asset portfolio system to a micro-services, AWS-serverless stack.
At Hament, he steers the end-to-end tech roadmap—selecting best-in-class vendors, integrating Okta SSO and Mercury banking APIs, and leading an agile squad of full-stack developers. His mandate: deliver a secure, scalable platform that lets clients access global markets seamlessly from day one.
